Hi! I am Sonia!
Welcome to my page! Our story begins with the uprooting of our family of six — from the rural outskirts of Ottawa, Ontario to planting ourselves on the beautiful south-west coast of Nova Scotia. My husband Michiel, a talented carpenter, is currently renovating our large fixer-upper home we purchased in 2022. Together, we design, plan and envision our dream home while doing life as a family with our four children. Here, you will find detailed accounts of our family’s journey in journal form — addressed to our friends and family, whom have been intrigued with our home renovation projects and Maritimes adventures from day one!
